I realize that study space is at a premium in the medical school.
I realize that you have an exam coming up.
I realize you need your backpack, laptop, and cellphone.
The proper way to retrieve them is to wait until class is over, or to politely ask permission to come in.
It is not proper to barge in. When politely informed that a class is in session, the response "I don't care, this is for the medical students," will cut you no ice, and will cause me to talk to your Dean. I will be keeping my classroom door locked from now on, and may or may not use the laptops and cell phones as targets.
